Coming to Florida

1. The skies over South Carolina on my flight down.
2. The Florida house.
3. Bill (Steph's dad) exercising Gambolier. Ian looks on and waits for his turn to ride Goldika.
4. Side view of the Florida house.
The flight down was good, just some minor turbulence. It was good to be back on the ground and among family again! Steph, Ian, and Colin picked me up in the Jag at the airport. We went right to the Florida house and cooled our engines. Florida is so nice! Fair weather, a calm breeze, and great company. At least when we return to Maine it will be nice Springtime weather. But that's not a thought right now. Time to soak it all in!

Happy Birthday, My Love...

Years with you are the best years of all. Here's to many, many more.

I love you and I'm glad you were born! It made possible so many important things in my life (like giving birth to our incredibly wonderful boys!). So I celebrate this day!

What would life be like without you? Can't imagine.

Happy Birthday Ian!

What a big boy! It's hard to believe you are 5 years old!

We love you and are proud of you for all that you have accomplished but most of all for being you!

Have a wonderful birthday!

Bon apetit!

Ian said that he wanted to say grace tonight. After he finished he burst out with, "Bon apetit - now you can eat!" Unbelievable!

Colin did....

....a wonderful job brushung his own hair. He sees us doing it. He drags the soft brush around his head and talks to us in his language about his personal style. All we have to do now is teach him to shower, get dressesd, drive a car........The other day he climbed all the way up the stairs by himself (Don't worry, people, he had a spotter all the way) !
Steve Irwin: "He's climby!!!"

Colin said........

......Doootl-doootl-doootl-doootl-dooh dooh-doob-b-b!

We're waiting on those first few words still (in English, that is - he actually talks a lot!), although Toni swears he was saying "Cracker!" the other day. Ah the young....so inspired by food!

If anyone has the complete translation to the above (Doootl-doootl...), please let me know. I think I know what he means but can't really be sure.

Am'nooha ' %dcheetch! (Love to all!)

Time Flies...and So Does Ian!

We had a two-wheeler for Ian before but it didn't seem to fit him quite right. Now he's got a new ride: The Mongoose!

It didn't take long and away he went! He can pedal, coast, turn and brake. What more do you need? I just had to remind him a few times to look up not down.

"You don't have to look down, Ian. You always know where your feet are, right?"

Ian: "Where?"

Daddy: "At the end of your legs! Look up!"

I think he's going to get hooked on biking. Now for the weather to change!

Poor Colin....got left in the dust!
